Thousands of organizations, including government agencies and 90 of the Fortune 100 companies, use EMC and IBM solutions to help run their businesses. As the value and volume of information continues to increase, we help you implement information lifecycle management (ILM) strategies to get the most value from your information at every stage of its lifecycle.
Comprehensive interoperability
We conduct the industry's most comprehensive interoperability testing to ensure that our solutions perform at the highest levels in your information infrastructure. We're committed to developing and testing products that conform to all relevant interoperability standards and to supporting IBM users with fully compatible and integrated solutions.
Support for Linux
We are collaborating with IBM to support Linux as its use becomes more widespread. Specifically, we've worked to ensure that our market-leading EMC Symmetrix DMX series and CLARiiON UltraScale series networked storage systems support Linux running on the IBM System p (POWER) architecture. By supporting Linux on IBM System p hardware, we protect your investment and offer you more flexibility as well as the opportunity to leverage the many advantages of POWER servers.
In 2007, EMC began providing Linux on POWER support for Symmetrix and CLARiiON storage systems and for Symmetrix software and EMC ControlCenter. In addition, support for CLARiiON software and EMC PowerPath is also available.
